Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can the GB and BB coaching programs be integrated into a company wide strategy?
Yes they can.

Registration and kick off can be synchronised so that all selected participants undertake the program at the same time.

This allows the host company to engage in team development, group coaching and complete skills development in predetermined waves.
Q. Does a participant need to have undertaken the green belt level before undertaking the black belt pro coaching?
Yes, green belt is a pre-requisite. Ideally the participant will have undertaken training with George and 9SF, however if they have completed green belt with another provider, gaps in their training can be closed out in a number of ways. Before entering into the BB Pro program, we recommend you talk to us directly about individual scenarios.
Q. Is the instructor led online training as effective as instructor led classroom training?
The answer is Yes .. it can be. For the reasons why we say that, please watch the following video which is a run through the GB Pro handbook.
Q.What makes this approach better than the traditional approach?
In the traditional approach, training takes place in a classroom. Students get the benefits of tailored responses to their questions and gaps as well as access to our incredibly effective product/service simulation.

The weaknesses of this approach is that individuals can hide within a group and individual learning gaps might not be picked up, students see the content delivery once only without the ability to revisit, and face-2-face workplace coaching requires travel and is expensive so most companies back off the level of coaching they do and project work completion often takes way longer than it should.

In the GB Pro and BB Pro coaching approach, the goal is to complete the cycle in 26 weeks which is intended to result in faster and more effective execution of the most important thing ... making improvements and getting results.

Participants get unlimited ongoing access to training content, they get weekly contact with their coach, and they are held accountable for progress and completion of tasks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How does the coach guide candidates during the training phases?
Candidates receive weekly emails for the duration of training at 8am every Monday.

Each weekly email will provide the candidate with a guided training task to complete plus an assignment.

The assignment is then lodged by midnight the following Sunday for review by the coach and individual feedback.
Q. What happens if the candidate falls behind?
Ultimately it is up to the candidate to complete the work. In situations where the candidate falls behind, they will be prompted by the coach, and the situation will be escalated to the relevant customer company BI manager or representative.
Q. What happens situations where the candidate does not complete the training in the 26 weeks?
The training schedule is designed to be easily completed in the time frame allotted provided the candidate does what they are tasked to do.

If they fail to complete the work, it will be up to the customer company to decide if they wish to continue with the coaching until the program is complete.
Q. Is group coaching provided or available and what platforms would you use?
Group coaching is provided where each candidate will be required to register for the event.

Generally speaking, group coaching will be provided via the Zoom platform.

In cases where the customer company contracts the coach to run in-house group coaching, then MS Teams could be used as an alternative.
During the project phase, the coach focuses on 5 levers to drive project success
  • Lever #1 Project Selection - Ensuring you have the right projects to work on that have the best chance of success for you and your company
  • Lever #2 Problem Clarity - Getting clear on what the problem actually is so you can start the work with clarity and an understanding of the importance of the work
  • Lever #3 Pre-measuring and Planning - Setting your project work up for success with knowledge of what's actually happening in the process, planning it from end to end, and building the appropriate agreements before you kick off
  • Lever #4 Simple Execution - Executing the plan with simplicity, concentrated focus on team activities and use of a minimal amount of tools to get to the end result
  • Lever #5 Rapid and Sustained Change - Implementing solutions as quickly as possible and making sure mechanisms are in place to sustain relevant behaviour changes
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How does the coach and candidate communicate?
The coach primarily communicates to the candidate via email.

The candidate engages in Q&A with their coach and receive succinct guidance on what to do.

The coach will also proactively follow up with the candidate to drive progress with their project work with a view to the candidate completing two projects in the time frame allotted.
Q. How do the commercial aspects of this arrangement work?
The standard program fees apply per individual. For purchase order arrangement payments .. the pricing model is based on credit card payments that don't require office work to process so an invoicing administration fee of $110 is charged for each invoice issued in respect of any purchase order.

Additional support such as advance work with BI teams, meet and greet sessions with selected participants, any additional coaching or training or content development outside of the standard GB and BB Pro programs, is charged at the contracted per/day rate.
