The Program

When you decide to upgrade your qualification to the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualification, you'll need to follow a program comprised of 5 phases.

PHASE 1 - FAILURE MODE & EFFECT ANALYSIS

Course Reference = FMEA
- 2 modules
- Course workbook
- Downloadable tools and templates
- Guidelines for practice and application
- Assignment based assessment

Objective = Completed FMEA Assignment

PHASE 2 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS

- Course Reference = PMS
- 2 modules
- Downloadable course workbook
- Downloadable tools and templates
- Guidelines for practice and application
- Assignment based assessment

Objective = Completed PMS Assignments

PHASE 3 - QUANTITATIVE DECISION MAKING

- Course Reference = QDM
- 7 separate courses (QDM01 to QDM07)
- 7 Downloadable course workbooks
- All tools and templates
- Assignment assessment for 2 courses
- Examination based assessment for 1 course

Objective = Completed Assignments & Quizzes

PHASE 4 - QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT

- Course Reference = QFD
- 1 module
- Downloadable course workbook
- Downloadable tools and templates
- Assignment based assessment

Objective = Completed QFD Assignment

PHASE 5 - BLACK BELT CERTIFICATION

- Pre-certified as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Project reviews (3 projects)
- Open book examination (six sigma statistics)
- Affidavit of project leadership
- Competency confirmation by George Lee Sye

Objective = Evidence of BB Competency Lodged

The Training Plan

You'll be provided with everything you need to undertake the training with the exception of the statistical analysis software. For the six sigma component and final exam, you will need access to either SigmaXL or Minitab software. If you need more information please email us at [email protected]

2 WEEKS OF EFFORT

PHASE 2 - PMS COURSE

STEP 3 - Work through all part 1 lessons

STEP 4 - Complete the PM assignment

STEP 5 - Work through all part 2 lessons

STEP 6 - Complete the PRM assignment

STEP 7 - Lodge assignments for marking

1 MONTH OF EFFORT

PHASE 3 - QDM COURSES (7)

STEP 1 - Open each course chronologically

STEP 2 - Access your downloads

STEP 3 - Work through the lessons

STEP 4 - Complete any assignments

STEP 5 - Complete quizzes (80% pass rate)

STEP 6 - Repeat for each QDM course

STEP 7 - Lodge assignments for marking

2-3 MONTHS OF EFFORT

PHASE 4 - QFD COURSE

STEP 3 - Follow the training and practice activity

STEP 4 - Complete the course assignment

STEP 5 - Lodge the assignment for marking

1-2 MONTHS OF EFFORT

(QFD is heavily focused on application and the final assignment)

PHASE 5 - LSSBB CERTIFICATION

STEP 1 - Open the course on your dashboard

STEP 2 - Download the Certification Pack

STEP 3 - Lead 3 DMAIC based improvement projects

STEP 4 - Assemble evidence as per checklist

STEP 5 - Lodge evidence for certification

STEP 6 - Complete the LSSBB Exam

COMPLETE WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF STARTING

NOTE - It is not unusual for participants to complete the training elements of the program in as little as 3 to 4 months.
